| Bidding begins for Chrysler
Who do you know wants to buy a car company? DaimlerChrysler AG is, in effect, holding a corporate auction to find a buyer for its U.S.-based Chrysler Group this week, according to The Detroit News. General Motors Corp. has a bid on the table for the Chrysler Group and remains a long-shot candidate to acquire the struggling division, the publication reproted. Although GM's offer, made in late January, was initially rejected by DaimlerChrysler, the bid is still active as other potential buyers prepare to make their own proposals this week. .
Elementary school projected bumped back in Red LIon
The bidding process on a new elementary school in the Red Lion Area School District has been delayed from mid-May to early June, pushing the entire project back by months, project manager John Beddia told the school board Thursday. The delay is due to work planned to the adjacent property. The district has a joint agreement with that developer because plans for the new school call for using the adjacent property for access, said board president Chris Seitz. The district cannot receive bids until the adjacent property receives its site approval. With the delay of the bidding process, Seitz said it is "highly unlikely" that the new school will open in September 2009 as planned. The school was originally set to open in September 2008, but had to be pushed back because the acquisition of the property took longer than anticipated.

Boss Mustang Star of Shannons Autumn Auction
A stunning Grabber Blue 1970 Boss Mustang 302 Fastback with all matching numbers is one of the highlights of Shannons Sydney autumn auction on Monday May 7. One of just 737 built with the W-code Drag Pack option, the car has been the subject of a fully documented restoration by its former Californian owner less than two years ago. It is now in immaculate condition both inside and out, having covered only around 400 miles since. In muscle car terms, the Boss models built in 1969-1970 have grown in stature to become some of the most desirable Mustangs of all. The Boss 429 was essentially a big-block dragster while Ford used the Boss 302 to homologate the Mustang for the SCCA's Trans-Am road racing series, where engine capacity was restricted to 5.0 litres.
